About

A focused hospice team with time to listen.

We started Alpha Care Hospice with one intention: to offer the kind of care we would want for our own families—present, straightforward, and unhurried. We walk beside you with practical guidance and quiet support, not pressure.

Many people are referred to hospice later than they could be. If you’re unsure whether it’s the right time, we can review your situation, explain what hospice covers, and help you explore options with no obligation to start services.

FAQs

Common questions about hospice.

It’s normal to have questions or mixed feelings about hospice. These are some of the topics that often come up in first conversations.

Is hospice the same as “giving up”?
No. Hospice is active care focused on comfort and quality of life when treatments aimed at cure are no longer helping or no longer match the patient’s goals.
Where is hospice care provided?
Hospice usually happens where the patient lives—home, assisted living, or a nursing facility. Our team comes to you.
Who pays for hospice?
For eligible patients, Medicare and many private insurance plans cover hospice services, including visits, medications related to the hospice diagnosis, and equipment. We can help you understand your specific coverage.
Can we keep our current doctor?
Yes. Your primary doctor can stay involved and may serve as the attending physician on the hospice team. We coordinate with them to keep everyone aligned.
